Front Range FAB - Adventurous Blending and Spinning

I have been on a blending and spinning adventure and I want you to come along!

In the morning we will blend and spin wild combinations of plant and animal fibers like angora and flax or mohair and cotton.

In the afternoon we will tackle art yarn techniques like core spinning, super coils and cables.

I find that spinning adventurous fibers and techniques is as much about letting go of conventional spinning rules as learning the techniques themselves. Come ready to let go and get wild!

Experience Level: Intermediate - should be very comfortable spinning singles and plying.

Students bring: A spinning wheel you are comfortable with that is in working order. I recommend a larger orifice for art yarn spinning and will have a couple available. 3-4 bobbins.

Nice but optional - lazy kate, niddy noddy, ball winder

Supply fee to be paid to instructor at time of class: $50 Includes a variety of fibers, plying options and cores.
